Are you an experienced SENDCo seeking your next challenge?

Your opportunity
Come and lead the SEND / inclusion department to enthuse and engage our students with our innovative curriculum. We are looking to appoint into a new role as Head of SEND and lead our team of Teaching Assistants and Thrive Practitioners. As a purpose built school, Aureus has brand new classrooms using the latest equipment such as SMART TV boards in every classroom and Visualisers enabling teachers to bring learning to life and engage our learners.

About Aureus School
Aureus School is a state of the art comprehensive 11-16 school that opened on the Great Western Park, Didcot, in September 2017 with our first cohort of Year 7 students. We are excited to collaborate with local stakeholders to shape our offer as a STEAM specialist mixed school to create choice for the wider community in southern Oxfordshire. Our mission is simple: we will strive to educate the whole student so that each individual in our community may ‘Grow, Learn and Flourish’.

What we are looking for:
A clearly articulated vision for SEND faculty
The ability to inspire, challenge, motivate and empower others
A passion for excellence in the learning process with a strong commitment to School Improvement and raising achievement for all
Ability to lead and manage effectively, create a coherent and effective team, respond well to challenge
Excellent communication skills
Successful experience as a classroom teacher 11 – 16 and record in raising student achievement
Effective leadership in a secondary school working at middle leadership level
