What skills and experience we're looking for
This post is suitable for a more experienced teacher who is passionate about delivering the highest quality of Education for students during Key Stage 5. We are seeking to appoint a teacher who will support the Catholic ethos of the school and the wider community. The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to the teaching and development of post 16 learning and would also be committed to attaining the best outcomes across the whole age and ability range, including examination groups at Key Stage 4 and/or 5. A commitment to support the personal development and extracurricular life of the school and Sixth Form is also integral to the post.

The candidate would be responsible for the administration of the UCAS process and administration. Other roles and responsibilities will include day to day management of the Sixth Form, leading a sixth form team and set of tutors that will support with the implementation of strategies and close monitoring of academic achievement. The candidate must commit to fully supporting recruitment events and marketing.
What the school offers its staff
Hagley Catholic Sixth Form has an intake of circa 200 students which we wish to grow. The curriculum is predominantly A levels, and the academic outcomes are high. As a Catholic Sixth Form, we pride ourselves on inclusivity with many students joining us from different faiths. Consequently, we invest in an exciting and varied enrichment programme that allows the students to develop the skills necessary for their journey Post 18.

Hagley Catholic High School is part of the Emmaus Catholic Multi Academy Company with five of our Catholic feeder schools. Currently our school has population of 1136 pupils aged 11 – 18 including a Sixth Form of 200. The school operates under the patronage of St Nicholas Owen and is dedicated to developing a Catholic community in which all students work towards fulfilling their potential in a safe and supportive environment.
The school is situated in Worcestershire, bordering on to West Midlands, in a semi-rural setting some twelve miles south west of Birmingham. The village of Hagley is within close proximity to the national motorway network, yet still enjoys views of the Clent Hills and beautiful surrounding countryside.
The school has a Pupil Admission Number of 190 with six forms of entry, however, we are heavily over-subscribed. The school enjoys an excellent reputation and commands a high degree of parental and parish support. Students come to Hagley mainly from Kidderminster, Stourbridge, Halesowen, Stourport-on-Severn, Bewdley and South West Birmingham.
