What skills and experience we're looking for

Required for September 2025 with some days, to be agreed in discussion with the successful candidate, prior to this start date to support induction and enrolment in the summer term.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and suitably experienced individual who will be responsible for the leadership and operation of our outstanding sixth form provision. This is a permanent role.

If you are an excellent practitioner ambitious to develop your career in an energetic and highly professional environment, we would welcome an application from you.

If you are interested in learning more about the position, please contact the Headteacher via the School Office on 01344 421233 or by email, atenquiries@ranelagh.bonitas.org.ukDetails of the post are also available on the school website.

What the school offers its staff

Ranelagh is an 11-18 coeducational, Anglican Academy (converter) which is oversubscribed and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement and positive school ethos. The school has had five ‘outstanding’ OFSTED reports, with Grade 1 across all areas, but we are not complacent and as such the provision for professional learning and development is something of which we are all very proud.

Potential candidates may wish to know that our admissions policy enables the school to prioritise the admission of children of staff recruited to posts in which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.

Commitment to safeguarding

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.

Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.

Offers of employment may be subject to the following checks (where relevant):
childcare disqualification
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
medical
online and social media
prohibition from teaching
right to work
satisfactory references
suitability to work with children

You must tell us about any unspent conviction, cautions, reprimands or warnings under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
