Head of Sixth Form job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of a full time Head of Sixth Form at The Oxford Academy. We are a Good school with Outstanding Leadership Management and Professional Development.
We are seeking an inspirational Head of Sixth Form, a key post in our growing school who will create and develop a clear vision for The Oxford Academy post 16 provision and lead and direct on all aspects of the provision within the Sixth Form.
The successful candidate will ensure high levels of attainment and progress across the Sixth Form, including oversight of curriculum, assessment and achievement data including the monitoring and development of quality teaching across Key Stage 5.
Responsibility for leading the Sixth Form pastoral team in providing support and guidance for students across Years 12 and 13 and to oversee the experience of all students in Sixth Form, from recruitment through to UCAS and destinations.
The successful candidate will be an inspirational and effective teacher with a passion for learning, high expectations and a commitment to supporting all young people. They will have had demonstrable impact through their teaching and leadership and will be committed to developing a culture of hard work, learning and care for others through their work. They will be committed to professional learning and their own development as a teacher and leader.
