What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a committed and thoughtful leader to build on the progress made in Social Science departments across the school. We already have a coherent and rigorous curriculum from our youngest pupils all the way to our KS5 pupils. We are looking for someone who can check the current curriculum for rigor, improve it even further and cement social sciences as a vibrant department in our outstanding school and sixth form.

The successful candidate will set the vision and direction for the department and be responsible for ensuring that our curriculum is aligned to excellence at KS5 and beyond. They will be a committed teacher with leadership experience and a track record of leading pupils to achieve great results.

The teacher will join the Humanities Department - a strong, collaborative team who value research and constant reflection on their teaching and curriculum.

We are open to any social sciences teaching discipline for this middle leadership role.
