Head of Social Sciences job summary

We have an opportunity for an outstanding colleague to join our school at a point where we have recently maintained our Good Ofsted rating [with Outstanding Sixth Form provision]. This role, in a school where Sixth Form leadership was described by Ofsted as “tenacious”, would be an amazing career opportunity for the right candidate. Incorporating Psychology, Economics, Politics, Sociology, Health and Social Care and Business Studies, Social Sciences attract large numbers of our young people at GCSE and A Level. The Social Sciences team achieve great things; they’re a great team, and we’re looking for someone to drive up standards further and energise the students. Attitude and confidence are as important as experience.

We would actively encourage potential applicants to visit the Academy, talk to the team and gain an understanding of how we work.
