ABOUT COPLESTON HIGH SCHOOL
The principal aim of the school is to enable all students to achieve their best. This is brought about by continually developing a stimulating curriculum supported by the highest possible standards of teaching and learning. A warm, caring and vibrant environment is created so that students may thrive and where every student really does matter. An excellent range of curricular, extra-curricular and student voice opportunities ensure that all our students can flourish. Student successes are celebrated in as many ways as possible through posters around the school, achievement assemblies and through wonderful celebration evenings emphasising that we value all students as individuals.
Copleston High School is also part of the Gippeswyk Community Educational Trust. If you wish to receive further information about the GCE Trust or access documents, then please click here to find out more https://www.gcetrust.org.uk/page/?title=Documents&pid=7
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
We are proud of our students' academic achievements. We want them to be good learners, with enquiring minds, so that they can make a positive contribution to society. We listen to what they have to say and the various Student Councils and many other student voice opportunities play a full and active role in the life of the school. Every classroom has a thought wall where students can give feedback to their teachers when ever they wish. We think this is a unique approach which genuinely encourages students to let the school know what they think. We always want to do even better.
COPLESTON IS A HEALTHY SCHOOL
Students are encouraged to adopt a healthy life-style. Students achieve their best when they play a full and active part in school life and to this end learning is supported by an impressive range of activities, both within school and extra curricular. We want every student to feel valued and strive for success, not only for themselves but for the school as a whole.
It is important for students to develop a concept of mutual respect, to communicate effectively and to work effectively as part of a team. Our students enjoy taking responsibilities for themselves and they relish the opportunities they are given to help and support each other.
Our motto is:
ACHIEVING SUCCESS TOGETHER.
