Are you looking to join a successful Business & ICT faculty to deliver Computer Science at GCSE and A Level? Computer Science is a high performing subject and we have small groups of focussed students who achieve the very best results across both Key Stages. This post is open to NQT’s or experienced teachers. If you are ready to take on additional responsibilities, a TLR 2c is available for leading on and further developing the subject across the whole curriculum.
Weatherhead High School is an extremely successful school. We have recently been accredited ‘World Class Schools’ status (December 2018) giving us recognition that we have moved beyond our ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted status and have improved student progress, aspiration and achievement to such an extent that our students rival those of the best schools’ nationally and internationally. We are the only non-selective school in Wirral and Merseyside to have been awarded this quality mark. In the last 3 years the school has consistently achieved significantly above the national average and has positive scores for both P8 and Attainment 8.

Weatherhead High School is a large 11 to 18 oversubscribed girls’ comprehensive school with approximately 1540 students on roll. There is an excellent mixed Sixth Form with nearly 300 students. We have a PAN of 254 for each year group from Year 7 to 11 and the school of choice for girls in Wallasey and the surrounding area.
We were judged to be an Ofsted ‘Good’ provider in our recent inspection in November 2022. During the inspection, inspectors commented that ‘Weatherhead High School is a happy and friendly learning community. Pupils, students in the Sixth Form and staff are proud to belong to this school. Relationships between staff and pupils are strong.’
