Head of Technology job summary
Due to the continued growth of our Professional Studies provision, we are looking to grow our ‘Tech’ offer and are seeking someone with a computing, arts, graphics, textile, resistant material or engineering background who can create a vision, contribute to our ongoing results and deliver innovative lessons for our students.Professional Studies – which encompasses our expressive arts subjects is a faculty that has delivered fantastic outcomes over the last three years and sees excellent engagement from students both with the curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities.
We are on a significant growth trajectory and are now seeking a ‘super hero’ to set up and lead on Technology across our school. This is an opportunity of a lifetime where you will be able to shape whole school strategy, influence stakeholders and introduce an inspiring curriculum with the full support of the Leadership team – whilst having autonomy and continuous opportunities to develop as a leader.
You will be dedicated, enthusiastic, and motivated to achieve outstanding outcomes for our young people. You will join an Academy that is committed to allowing teachers to teach in a disruption free learning environment and will have the full support of the Academy leadership team who are committed in supporting you in your professional development. You will demonstrate your excellence for learning by leading a team of highly skilled practitioners with a range of experiences and ensure that they are motivated, knowledgeable and constantly reflective.
You must have a sense of humour, enjoy ‘high stakes’ accountability and have excellent subject knowledge. We expect our students to be ambitious and this is imperative that all our staff are too. You must have a proven track record of raising attainment and smashing targets out of the park.
