The School

Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust has a vacancy for a Head of Technology from September 2023. The vacancy is based at Kenilworth School and Sixth Form.

This is an exciting time to join us as in September 2023 we will be moving into a newly built school on Glasshouse Lane, Kenilworth, bringing both Sixth Form and years 7 -11 onto one site. Currently we have a split site, with years 7 – 11 based at Leyes Lane and Sixth Form set on our Rouncil Lane site.

The school is well resourced to support the delivery of the subject. The post holder will join a supportive school with opportunities for professional development.

Our educational ethos encourages our students to be responsive, resilient, to have reasoning, be reflective and resourceful in their learning.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent role of Head of Technology to manage a department with a total of six staff. Two dedicated Technicians provide support across the department Food Technology is taught across KS3 and KS4 with Product Design and Textiles being taught across KS3, KS4 and KS5. The successful candidate should be able to teach one of the above disciplines and the ability to teach textiles would be advantageous, but not essential.

We are looking for a talented, innovative teacher and leader with a proven track record of effective teaching to deliver against high standards. You will have strong leadership skills and have a clear vision for the planning and delivery of Technology in the school curriculum.

The successful applicant should be aspirational, innovative and have a genuine engaging enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
