What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a Head of Year to join our Extended Leadership Team at The Spires College. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring teacher who is ready for the next step in their career. It would suit an ambitious teacher who has established themselves as an excellent classroom practitioner with strong interpersonal skills and is now seeking the opportunity to further progress in their career.

You will:

  • share and uphold the college’s very high expectations;
  • be an excellent classroom practitioner, who is able to teach a National Curriculum subject at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5;
  • be committed to working collaboratively with colleagues, students and parents;
  • be confident in your ability to support and develop colleagues;
  • be able to develop the strong professional relationships that underpin effective pastoral care;
  • be effective in prioritising and managing competing demands on your time;
  • be enthusiastic about giving young people the best possible start in life.
