Wyvern Academy, part of Consilium Academies, is seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of Year to join our committed and dedicated pastoral team. The Role:
As Head of Year, you will:
- Lead a year group, setting high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement.
- Develop and maintain a positive year group ethos that encourages students to aspire and achieve.
- Work closely with form tutors, teaching staff, families, and external agencies to provide exceptional pastoral care and targeted interventions.
- Monitor and support students’ academic and personal progress, ensuring no child is left behind.
- Lead year group events, including assemblies, trips, and the year residential experience.
- Champion student welfare, safeguarding, and wellbeing.
- Build positive relationships with local primary schools to support effective transition.
