Head of Year job summary
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring qualified Head of Year to join our supportive and talented team at Broadoak Academy. We are a growing organisation, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.
This post is fixed term, in the first instance, until 31st August 2022. It is preferred if the successful candidate is able to teach English or Maths at KS3 and KS4 level.

We provide excellent training and development opportunities within the Federation, including a full induction programme for newly qualified and experienced teachers. Training is both local and/or delivered through our excellent stand-alone training facility at the CLF Institute. For teachers, the CLF Institute aims to provide a continuum of development through each career stage from initial teacher training (ITT), for newly qualified teachers (NQT), recently qualified teachers in their early career development, to successive stages of leadership through to Headship and beyond.

Broadoak Academy is part of CLF which is a 3-19 organisation with a mix of primary, secondary and an all through academies. It is located in the south of Weston near to Uphill Village, Weston-super-Mare. There has been a school on this site serving the community for nearly 100 years and we have a PAN of 900 The proportion of children eligible for the pupil premium, which is additional funding for pupils in receipt of supported income, looked-after children and children from service families is above the national average at 36%. •11% of the school speak English as an additional language.
