Head of Year/Class Teacher job summary

The Governors of Warden Hill Infant School are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Head of Year/Class Teacher to join our friendly and popular school.

We are seeking to recruit a Head of Year to join the diverse, inclusive community at our four-form entry infant school. As Head of Year, you would be leading our EYFS team to provide a rich and engaging curriculum for our children, enabling them to develop as curious, independent learners.

We would love to meet you if you are ready to:

- lead and inspire a team of dedicated educators

- take an active role in developing teaching and learning as part of our wider leadership team

- model and promote high expectations for all learners through your own exemplary class teaching and subject leadership

- support our families to enable our children to have a bright future

This post is part of the leadership team as a middle leader. The postholder has a teaching commitment. The teacher will contribute to the School Improvement Plan, supporting the ethos, aims and vision of the school and will work with staff to develop the curriculum and raise attainment.

The teacher will undertake all duties required of a qualified teacher identified in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document and will undertake class teaching in a designated year group. They will also contribute to and lead the development of the curriculum across the school.
