Head of Year job summary

Do you want to help students get the most out of their time at school? You could join us as Head of Year!

Providing students with pastoral support and guidance will be at the heart of your role. You will oversee school attendance, behaviour, and ensuring that students can achieve their full academic potential and goals.

As your role is focused upon a single year group, you will get to know the students and see how your support improves their educational wellbeing and confidence. This encouragement will aid them beyond their time at Filey School.

You will track data and use strategic intervention and monitoring to support students. You will be working closely with the school’s pastoral team, working with SLT, students, parents, and external agencies to promote good attendance and behaviour of students.
