What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Strategic and effective approach to Pastoral Care
  • Able to teach, support and motivate students of all abilities and ages including an understanding of effective behaviour strategies
  • A record of outstanding practice as a classroom practitioner
  • Experience of developing and leading effective Behaviour and Pastoral Care provision and monitoring and evaluating its impact
  • Proven track record of raising standards of pupil behaviour
  • Demonstrates effective practices in the promoting and achieving the raising of attainment
  • Able to accept autonomy and operate professionally maintaining the trust of colleagues
  • Commitment, drive and the ability to achieve the highest standards and best practice across all aspects of the school
  • Innovative approach in leading and developing the behaviour systems within a school
  • Evidence of identifying priorities and constructing an improvement plan
  • Proven record of tracking and monitoring pupil progress and implementing effective intervention strategies

Hall Green School is a very popular, heavily oversubscribed and academically successful 11-16 Converter Academy. We are a highly diverse institution, both ethnically and as a fully accessible mainstream school, attracting pupils from across the city with physical disabilities.
