Head of Year job summary
We are seeking to appoint a Head of Year to join our outstanding Pastoral Team. The successful applicant will be passionate about working with young people, making a difference and will have the ability to manage and support behavioural situations in a way that de-escalates and promotes positive choices. It is essential that applicant has either 2 years’ experience as a Head of Year, or 3 years pastoral experience within an educational setting.
We are looking for candidates who can offer a consistent, firm and fair approach to all the pupils in their year group.
This post is to work within our successful Pastoral Team to ensure that along with behavioural management, the needs of individuals within the year group are met to ensure all pupils can make outstanding personal and academic progress at Hollingworth Academy.
Applications are invited from candidates who can deliver exceptionally high standards of pastoral care whilst promoting academic success; have a passion for helping young people flourish; are a role model to young people; and can demonstrate that they meet the essential criteria for the role.
