We are currently seeking a temporary, non-teaching Head of Year to lead on all matters relating to behaviour, welfare, achievement, punctuality and attendance within a year group, during a period of maternity leave. Working hours are 37 hours per week and 39 weeks per year (term time only) and the duration of the contract will be 12 months maximum, ending when the post-holder returns.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
- Leading student behaviour and expectations;
- Being a constant presence on corridors, at transitions, within lessons and isolation rooms;
- Supporting students during lunch times, lesson removals, parental meetings etc;
- Liaising with staff and parents on all matters such as behaviour, SEND, family life etc;
- Promoting success and achievement;
