Head of Year job summary
We are seeking a suitably qualified, committed and pro-active individual with a passion for positively impacting upon our students. You will lead and manage the achievement, progress and pastoral provision for a specific year group, ensuring a smooth transition when appropriate for all students in our growing, vibrant and dynamic school, Watling Academy .
You may already be operating in a pastoral or progress leader role or simply ready to take the next step in your leadership journey and have a passion for ensuring students receive the highest quality of care. You will receive mentoring, coaching and support to develop the knowledge and skills to enable you to become an experienced Head of Year.
Watling Academy was judged as ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED in May 2023 and is a purpose-built secondary school in its fourth year of operation, located within the Whitehouse development on the western expansion area of Milton Keynes. The Academy will have 1800 students when at full capacity. Watling Academy is part of the Denbigh Alliance MAT.
