The Eastbourne Academy has an opportunity for a Head of Year to join them.

We will accept applications from Science Teachers or General Cover Teachers.

We are seeking a leader with high energy to join a very experienced pastoral team. You will be supported by a Community Manager and Community Support Assistant to support the work of improving standards in attendance and progress.

Applications are welcome from experienced Heads of Year or those looking to make their first step into middle leadership.

This position would suit either an ambitious ECT or an established teacher that:

  • Can provide outstanding quality learning and teaching in the Science department, modelling excellence in the classroom;
  • Can demonstrate creativity and flair in the classroom;
  • Can enthuse and motivate students;
  • Has the vision and energy required to impact the continuous process of raising attainment in the Science department;
  • Has a belief in the value and talents of all students;
  • Has a passion for Science;
  • Has a commitment to achieve excellence for all.
