Head of Year (with teaching responsibilities) job summary
We are seeking a Head of Year to lead progress and pastoral care for a year group of students ideally from April 2022.
The successful candidate will become part of our Extended Leadership team and will be dedicated to removing barriers to learning and improving life chances for all students. The successful candidate will be proactive, well organised and able to lead both staff and students. They will also be an excellent teacher in their own right, who consistently leads by example and is adept at supporting and developing teachers and students. They will share our inclusive values of “opportunity, diversity and success for all” and have a willingness to develop their own practice in line with our ethos of continuous improvement.
Alongside duties such as tracking student progress and leading assemblies, the successful candidate will lead a team of tutors and line manage an Assistant Head of Year.
