Head Teacher job summary
We are seeking to appoint a strong and ambitious Head Teacher to lead our team here at Bringhurst Primary School. We can offer the successful candidate happy, very well-behaved children who are a pleasure to teach every day; a supportive, hard-working, friendly staff who are dedicated to the school’s continuous improvement and supportive families who want the very best for their children.
Start date: September 2022 or earlier, if available.
Being accountable for ensuring the educational success of the school on its journey towards outstanding.
Ensuring that a high quality educational experience is available for all children that attend the school.
Monitoring, evaluating and reviewing classroom practice, celebrating and promoting excellence, challenging under-performance and ensuring that all pupils’ achieve the best possible education.
Ensuring that systems are in place to encourage all teaching staff to be similarly active in their personal and continuous professional development.
Keeping abreast of educational developments and best management practice in order to introduce appropriate innovation, whilst building on the Trust’s ethos and vision.

Bringhurst Primary School is a unique village primary school set in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside. The school is full, with 170 pupils on roll who come mainly from the villages within the local area. The school has an excellent reputation, is very popular within its local community.
The school was judged to be securely good at its last inspection in May 2017. We believe in putting children at the centre of all we do and in providing an education that is exciting, engaging and fun.
Our vision as a school and as part of a Trust is to broaden pupils’ horizons. Our key values are important to us, that everyone in our school will be kind, responsible and respectful to all. Each individual is valued and encouraged to believe in themselves and adopt an ‘I can do it!’ attitude.
