Brays School is a special school in Birmingham. This provision educates children and young people aged 3 to 11 years who all have an Education Health and Care Plan for their special educational needs. Brays School is a 300-place special school for primary aged pupils with autism, physical, profound, and severe learning difficulties, and complex medical needs.
Please note the school is formally consulting with stakeholders to de-amalgamate into two schools however the post holder will retain the role of Head Teacher of one of the sites post de-amalgamate, all of course being subject to approval by the RSC’s office post consultation. Should this happen, this is planned for April 2021. If de-amalgamate is not approved by the RSC’s office post consultation, the Head Teacher will retain the responsibility of both sites.
The school is an integral part of the Forward Education Trust. It responds to the individual needs of children and young people, helping them to build strategies to minimise the barriers to their learning; enabling them to prepare for adult life both educationally and emotionally.
