The Governors of Pott Shrigley Church of England VA Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated successful leader and classroom teacher to lead this unique and nurturing school set in the Peak District National Park.
Pott Shrigley Church of England School is the oldest church school in Cheshire and successfully combines a caring Christian ethos with a creative and innovative approach to education both in and outside the classroom. The school is located just 1 mile from Bollington and a short drive from Macclesfield and Poynton.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and effective leader, keen to inspire a love of learning and to continue to develop our school’s ethos and vision.
We are looking for a Headteacher who will be committed to:
• Ensuring that the highest quality professional educational standards are provided by their own teaching and by our committed team of staff
• Delivering high quality teaching and learning with a proven track record
• Strategically building on the solid foundations that have been judged to be GOOD by Ofsted and GOOD by SIAMS
• Developing excellent school management procedures to ensure continuing staff development, sound governance and effective budget control
• Motivating and inspiring our children, staff and community through proven leadership skills
• Ensuring our Christian values of koinonia, compassion and respect weave through everything that is taught
• The safeguarding and welfare of children
• Keeping our school at the heart of the community and actively promoting its growth

The Headteacher post is a permanent position and will start from 1st January 2023. The salary will be in the range L6 – L12. The salary starting point will be agreed on appointment.
The successful applicant will be subject to the conditions of employment for Headteachers contained in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document 2021 and other current education and employment legislation.
