What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors, staff and children of our small village school wish to appoint an inspirational leader and classroom practitioner to enable our children to ‘Reach for the sky!’
We are looking for a Headteacher who is:
- Capable of leading the school from Requires Improvement to Good
- Committed to developing all staff through effective coaching, continued development and empowerment
- Supportive of positive relations with pupils, parents, Governors, parish and wider community
- An excellent classroom practitioner who can engage and inspire our enthusiastic children and teach 2 days per week
- Very supportive of our Christian Values, and wishes to build upon them and expand our Christian Ethos and commitment to the local community

Location:
The school is located near the towns of Burton on Trent and Swadlincote. The village is surrounded by the National Forestry Centre, close to the A38 and M42.
Accommodation:
The school is located in one well-maintained building with parts dating back to 1882. The building houses 3 classrooms, a small kitchen and an office.
Outdoors there is a hard surface play area and small grass areas with a trim trail. We also have an outside area for our EYFS/ KS1 children. We have use of the Village Hall afternoons for PE and have a school field 5 minutes’ walk away.
