What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a determined and energetic Headteacher to lead St Barnabas Church of England Primary School, Oxford, at an exciting and challenging time. After a period of time with an Interim Headteacher, we now wish to appoint to a permanent position. The successful candidate will be a clear communicator, with an open and collaborative approach. They will support every child to flourish. They will need to grasp nettles, make robust decisions and continue to build a strong staff team. They will be proactive in supporting a Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School system of governance.
What you will bring
- A successful record in headship or deputy/assistant headship.
- A rigorous approach to identifying gaps in pupil academic attainment and strategies to address them.
- A creative approach to improving financial stability and pupil numbers.
- An ability to support, motivate and inspire staff and to communicate a clear vision and direction for the school.
- A willingness to foster strong relationships.
- An ability to delegate effectively.
- The energy and creativity to drive improvement in all aspects of provision.
