What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a Headteacher who will:

  • champion children as individual learners, combining experience with openness to new pedagogical insights to further shape a curriculum that seeks to be rich, diverse, and inclusive
  • inspire the whole school community by setting clear standards and fair expectations
  • embody and promote the school’s ethos and vision
  • be approachable, with an open-door policy, working collaboratively with others
  • build on the foundations that are already in place across the school
  • develop the excellent provision for our children and deepen the mutual care and support that characterizes our staff team

What the school offers its staff

In return we can offer you:

  • Children who are keen to learn, behave well, and care for each other
  • A school community that is happy and at ease with itself, and which lives out its Christian ethos and values on a day-to-day basis
  • An experienced SLT, and an excellent wider staff team with considerable expertise and creativity, who enjoy working together and care deeply for our pupils
  • A local governing body which is very much part of the school team, and focused on staff and children’s wellbeing
  • The opportunity to explore and enhance your own collaborative leadership as the school adjusts to meet the needs of a growing village in future years
  • The support and learning opportunities that come from being part of one of the largest and longest established Diocesan Multi Academy Trusts in the country
