Headteacher job summary

Bewick Bridge Community Primary School has 190 pupils in seven classes, serving the village of Cherry Hinton, on the outskirts of Cambridge. We also management responsibility for Little Cherries Pre-school, which currently has 28 pupils on roll.

The Governing Board is seeking to appoint a Headteacher who can provide an inspirational teaching and learning environment, build on the achievements of the school and continue to move it forward. We are looking for a creative, collaborative and energetic individual who will embrace our culture and ethos and continue the strong and positive relationships with our children, staff, parents, carers and community. We require an experienced senior leader in education with the drive and aspiration necessary to ensure the needs of all our children are met, combined with excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills.

In addition to bringing your successful experience, you will have the attitude, knowledge and skills that inspire pupils to better themselves every day and encourage and motivate the team of staff around you to do the same. We have a positive, caring ethos and we are very proud of our school.
