Due to our substantive Headteacher being offered a post within Ofsted, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional school leader to join us at our high achieving infant and nursery school.
The governors, staff, children and families of this successful infant and nursery school are seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational, enthusiastic and committed leader with the vision and skills to embrace our ethos and drive continuous improvement. This is an opportunity for an existing Headteacher or highly experienced deputy who fully shares our vision of inclusivity, strong relationships, intelligent practice and high expectations for all.
Our new Headteacher will be part of a hardworking team who are proud of the children within the school and believe in developing individual potential. The ethos is one of inclusion, respect and high aspirations for all, encompassed in our mission statement of learning, caring, inspiring and succeeding.
We promote a creative and stimulating learning environment in the school which means children are enthusiastic and eager to learn.
You will:
• be a creative, reflective and inspirational leader who has children's learning and emotional well-being at the heart of every decision
• have the skills to lead, value, develop and manage a highly effective team with enthusiasm and respect
• maintain high levels of behaviour and respect for others
• continue our culture of high expectations of attainment and progress
• understand and overcome the barriers that disadvantage presents children with in education
• be committed to providing a broad and balanced curriculum that stimulates a love of learning and encourages the development of individual talents.
• be approachable, building excellent relationships with children, staff, parents, governors and the wider community and engages with the interests and needs of local families
• promote extra-curricular provision and enrichment activities, utilising the forest school provision along with the expert teaching of sport, music and drama within the school
• be experienced in supporting children with diverse needs including those with SEND
