What skills and experience we're looking for
- Ability to promote the Christian nature of the school
- Capacity to recognise and build on the considerable successes of the school and formulate a vision for innovation and improvement
- Ability to lead and inspire high quality teaching and learning
- Ability to inspire, demonstrate and support the highest expectations for all
- Sound knowledge of current and future educational developments.
- Knowledge and experience of school self- evaluation.
- Ability to use strong and effective management systems underpinned by clear communication
- Ability to provide and implement appropriate improvement plans and policies
- Commitment to the continuation of our strong links and partnerships with the Trust, governors, staff, parents, pupils, the wider community, other schools and international work
- Ability to delegate responsibility with accountability
- Understanding of local and national developments for AP/PRU
- Knowledge of financial management
- Knowledge of human resources management
- Significant experience at a senior level with substantial deputy or acting headship experience
- Proven track record of raising educational standards
- Experience of whole school monitoring, evaluating, and improvement
- Proven experience of leading whole school staff development
- Experience of successfully leading change and inspiring others
- Experience at headship level
- Senior leadership experience within an academy
- Experience in at least two secondary schools
- Led a school to improve from one Ofsted category to another (e.g. RI to Good)
