If you are a Deputy Headteacher looking to take the next step to headship, or even a Headteacher looking for a new challenge, the Governors of St Mary’s, may be able to help! We are looking for a Headteacher to take our happy and oversubscribed school forward. The successful candidate will be a practising Catholic and someone who can inspire our excellent team of staff to achieve the highest quality learning and teaching for our pupils, whilst maintaining a child-centred approach. As well as this, we are looking for a leader who is committed to ensuring the wellbeing of pupils and staff.

St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Crowborough, East Sussex is a one form entry voluntary aided school within the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton. Our school is conveniently centrally located, adjacent to the Catholic Church in the town which itself is situated at the edge of the picturesque Ashdown Forest in the High Weald Area of Outstanding National Beauty and is within close proximity to the towns of Royal Tunbridge Wells and Lewes, with good rail links to London. The School was set up primarily to serve the Catholic community in the parishes of Crowborough, Wadhurst with Rotherfield and Mayfield.

Everyone in the St Mary’s community, including pupils, staff, parents, carers and governors, are extremely proud of our school. It has a friendly, nurturing and welcoming environment where we all work together to achieve incredible outcomes. The experienced Governing Board are supportive, engaged in the overall strategic management of our school, and bring an array of skills to help support and guide the Senior Leadership Team.
