Cambridge Road is a community primary school whose location is amongst the top 10% most socially deprived in England. With free school meal eligibility, SEND and English as an additional language all above the national average, we pride ourselves on our reputation as an inclusive and successful school, despite the social challenges faced. At our last inspection in October 2023 Ofsted judged our school as ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding for Behaviour and Attitudes.’
To maintain our high standards we are looking for an outstanding headteacher to lead our successful school. This is a full-time and permanent position. The successful candidate will join a highly experienced and skilful team who work tirelessly to unlock the potential of our amazing pupils.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils through the raising of attainment and progress but will also be passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people as well as being a key member of the wider school community.
You will have:
- NPQH or Masters Degree Equivalent
- Experience of working in a diverse school and the associated social challenges
- An understanding of how to support pupils with SEND to align with the school’s mission statement to ‘Be the best you can be.’
If shortlisted, candidates will have the opportunity to showcase their passion for education and share their vision through a presentation to governors. Through interview, they will demonstrate a commitment to all aspects of school life, experience of leadership and their ideas for the school, as well as an ability to work collaboratively with all staff.
