Further details about the role
Charlton Mackrell School is seeking to appoint an inspirational and forward thinking Headteacher to build on its current excellent reputation and lead it into the next stage of its development. This small village school has many outstanding features. It is a well maintained beautiful historic building with a Christian foundation in a stunning rural setting. It has the kindest, most hard-working children and staff that are well supported by Governors and parents. The school was rated “Good “at its most recent OFSTED inspection and was recognised for providing a nurturing, safe, happy and inclusive environment where pupils behave well, and yet has an ambitious curriculum that ensures every child reaches their potential. The OFSTED inspector particularly praised the rich and varied opportunities for self-development that the school provides, particularly in the areas of music and sport. The most recent SIAMS inspection rated the school as being “Outstanding.”
The full-time role will involve a small teaching commitment each week. The Governors are open to applications for a part time headship role - please contact the School to discuss this if you are interested.
