Being judged Outstanding in December 2012 and not inspected since presents a challenge. We can’t afford to be in recovery mode, we need to ensure the school pushes forwards to retain this accolade and make sure the school changes lives through learning.
Our children, the staff that work with them, the governors who give unstintingly and the parents who entrust their children to us expect to see the kind of progress in each child that means outstanding doesn’t come close to describing the all-round education we provide.
We need a leader that has the experience not to flinch in the face of that challenge but more than that has the wisdom to chart the right courses of action and judiciously use all the resources at their disposal to make purposeful progress towards distinction.
You must have the ambition and energy to provide inspirational leadership to our impressive, hardworking staff, under the watchful eyes of the children and the governors. Our children are polite and respectful because we expect the highest standards in behaviour but there’s no need to enforce this really, they’re brilliant. We now need another exceptional head teacher to take over from Lindsay.
Dearham Primary School became part of West Lakes Trust on 1st September 2020 and we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure with regulated activity via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
The role is full time, full year and permanent.
