East Hunsbury Primary School is a large, exciting and welcoming mainstream primary school with a 47 place Specialist Unit for pupils with significant learning difficulties based in Northampton. The new Headteacher will be responsible for leading and improving this Ofsted rated “good“ school, overseeing the continued development of curriculum provision, teaching and learning, and developing the best possible provision to further raise expectations and outcomes throughout our school community. You must be committed to inclusion, be able to develop a clear vision and actively set and achieve high standards. This will require an understanding of how children learn, curriculum subject knowledge and a range of leadership skills alongside a positive, determined focus and the ability to engage, lead and develop staff. Hand in hand with this, you will need excellent data analysis skills and a sound understanding of school funding and budgets.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Northampton Primary Academy Trust working in collaboration with ten other local primary schools to raise standards and provide visionary opportunities for children. This also gives the Headteacher the benefit of the support and challenge of a close-knit community of NPAT Headteachers.
