You will be a strategic thinker who has a clear vision for our continued success and will work closely and effectively with the school’s governing body to deliver high standards and expectations for every child’s wellbeing and achievement.

Please see our attached pdf document to view the job description and person specification. This also includes a letter from the Chair of Governors and messages from children and staff.

Shortlisted candidates will be notified by 4pm on Tuesday 27th February 2024.

Interviews will be held on 5th and 6th March 2024.

What the school offers its staff

Eldene Nursery and Primary School is a well-established primary school that has strong relationships with its stakeholders. We have a well-established SRP of which the school is rightly proud. We have a large percentage of children with SEN and other barriers to learning and work closely with the families of our children.

We can offer you committed and caring staff working very closely as a team sharing expertise and initiatives, and who are dedicated to nurturing every child within our diverse and inclusive community. We have an expectation of high aspiration personally for all staff and for all children.

Visits to the school will be warmly welcomed.

It is unlikely there will be any internal candidates.

Commitment to safeguarding

Eldene School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, enhanced DBS and medical clearances, and proof of legal working in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.
