Does this describe you? If so, the Governors at Long Clawson CofE Primary School want to meet you.

Our headteacher of the last 7 years is retiring at Christmas and we are looking for a new leader for our controlled Church of England Primary School to maintain and continuously improve all aspects of the outcomes for our pupils. We are looking for a visionary, outgoing leader who will guide our school through the next stage of our journey and are open to applications for the role as Headteacher or as Executive Headteacher, linking with a current Headteacher’s school.

We are a small, flourishing village school established in 1849 in Long Clawson in the Vale of Belvoir. There is expansion potential for the school as new housing developments are completed. The staff are committed to working with our children and their families to enable them to love life and learning. We are fortunate to have two outdoor play areas and our own dedicated hall which was purchased by the John Garton’s Charity (the school foundation trust) for the sole use of the school.

We are proud of the creative and challenging curriculum at our school, as well as participation in sporting events across the county and full inclusion in school performances for all ages. We have strong links with our parish church and demonstrate our Christian ethos and values by leading inclusive Collective worship in the school and at St Remigius’s Church, welcoming those of all faiths and none.

Our whole school team work very hard to make our school a vibrant, safe and caring place in which every person matters.
