What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an experienced leader of school improvement, with a proven track-record of delivering excellence. You will need vision, and the energy, tenacity and ability to win hearts and minds to take the school to the next level. You will be skilled at initiating, managing and leading effective change, and completely committed to ensuring the delivery of high quality and engaging teaching and pastoral support to every student.

You will inspire and collaborate with all staff and external partners, motivating the whole school community to be the best they can be. Along the way, you can expect plenty of support, as we operate at the heart of Broadleaf Partnership Trust, an expanding cross phase academy trust with a vision to lead and enable community centred schools that raise and realise aspirations, celebrate successes, and promote a lifelong love of learning.

We do not anticipate receiving any internal applications for this role, and are looking for an exceptional school leader with real imagination and the drive and determination to make things happen. Already a seasoned senior manager, you will be ready to take an exciting step in your career and be capable of getting the most from every student as well as every member of our team.

What the school offers its staff

Situated in the heart of Sutton Coldfield, Plantsbrook School is an oversubscribed inclusive 11-18 school with a thriving sixth form, an established staff body, and big ambitions for our students and our local community.

In return, you can expect all the satisfaction of leading a school with endless potential to change students’ lives, as well as an exceptional package including generous relocation assistance.

Further details about the role

To speak to someone in advance of your application, or arrange an appointment to visit us, please contact the HR Department on 0121 362 7326.

The School’s motto ‘be the best that you can be’ underpins the schools ethos, are you the right person to realise that ambition? Please click the apply button to be taken to our careers portal.

Closing date: 16th April 2023.

Candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible as we reserve the right to interview earlier and withdraw the advert if a suitable candidate is appointed.

Please note successful candidates for all Broadleaf Partnership Trust vacancies will be requested to apply for Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service, although a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining the position.
