Headteacher
L30-L36 (£83,757 - £97,013) Dependant on Experience
Required to start September 2020
Faringdon Community College (FCC) is a successful and popular 11-18 mixed comprehensive secondary school. The school has an excellent local reputation and is known for inspiring exciting teaching and learning where teachers are supported and encouraged to help every student to achieve individual success and realise their potential.
Following 34 years of dedicated service to the School, the retirement of our current Headteacher presents an exciting opportunity to join our school, set in attractive landscaped grounds, on the edge of Faringdon, Oxfordshire.
We are looking for an exceptional, committed Headteacher with a proven record in educational leadership to share our ambition and strategic vision to build upon the Ofsted ‘good’ rating (February 19). Your energy and enthusiasm will inspire, challenge and empower all members of the school in achieving the vision, and fostering an environment in which learning thrives.
As a dynamic organisation, our Headteacher will have strong leadership skills, and be comfortable managing competing agendas. The school has a strong and motivated team of teaching and non-teaching staff, committed to ensuring the needs of our students are met and providing the best education they can.
As a founding member of the Faringdon Academy of Schools, an eight school multi-academy trust established on 1st April 2012, you will have opportunity to work with primary colleagues to shape the knowledge and skills of those students transitioning from our feeder primary schools.
In return for your energy, passion, and ambition, as an Academy Headteacher, you will be welcomed in to our innovative and elective Trust. We have a strong partnership of Headteachers and central trust team, supporting both your own ambition and continuing professional development, and that of your school and staff. The central trust team allows our Headteachers greater capacity to concentrate on delivery of teaching and learning, whilst maintaining a local level of control and accountability.
