Are you an existing Head Teacher or Deputy Head looking for a new and exciting challenge?

We are looking for an exceptional educational leader with the ability and ambition to lead our school into the next phase of its journey. We are a large, successful and happy primary school so you will have the chance to build on strong foundations and work with an ambitious Governing Body that will be keen for you to push us to keep improving.

With the stepping down of our current head, we are looking for someone who will work in close partnership with our pupils, parents, carers and stakeholders to provide a supportive and stimulating learning environment where every child can succeed. We have a highly diverse and vibrant pupil body with strong links to the community.

Degree level qualification or equivalent
Relevant or recent development that prepares the
applicant for this post

Essential skills and experience

An analytical and evidence-based approach with a clear
understanding of data, and of how to use data effectively
to drive school improvement.
A sound understanding of how children learn, how
teachers can best teach, and how to raise standards
through careful monitoring and target setting.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the
ability to adapt to a wide range of audiences.
Understanding of the benefits of using a variety of media
(including social media) to communicate vision, ethos and
operational aspects of the school.
Experience of successfully linking with parents,
businesses, local authorities, and other key stakeholders
including other schools and the local community.
