What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a strategic, creative thinker with outstanding leadership and management skills and experience, incorporating excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Understands the ethos of our school and the needs of our children.
  • Has a clear vision of the development priorities for the school and can communicate this vision to all stakeholders.
  • Will continue our approach to quality first teaching to enable our children to reach their full potential.
  • Has a clear commitment to the development of the whole curriculum, ensuring our learners are fully engaged throughout the school day.
  • Has a focus on implementing objective and consistent assessments.
  • Is committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all children, with secure knowledge and understanding of safeguarding systems and processes.
  • Is committed to empowering and developing others, including as leaders in their own right, allowing them to reach their full potential.
  • Demonstrates resilience when adapting to an ever-changing educational and social landscape.
  • Works hard to foster strong relationships with all stakeholders, promoting the school within the local and wider community in order to strengthen the good reputation of the school.

  • They should be able to challenge us, be an intendent thinker and have the answers to everything.
  • They should be able to take a joke, be a chatterbox, be mischievous and at times a little bit cheeky.
