Headteacher job summary
Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit a permanent, full-time Headteacher,
who will be based across both sites of Greentrees Primary School.
Salary range: L18 – 24 (£64,143 - £74,295) per annum, depending on experience
Required to start: Monday 25th April 2022
Pickwick Academy Trust is made up of eight community and church primary schools across North and South Wiltshire and is organised into two geographically proximate ‘hubs’. The schools in the Trust are committed to working together to provide the best schools and outcomes for their children.
The Trustee Board is seeking to appoint a permanent Headteacher who will be supported by and report to the South Hub Executive Leader and Chief Executive Officer.
Greentrees Primary School
Greentrees Primary School is a popular and over-subscribed two-form entry, two-site primary school situated in Salisbury. The school provides education to approximately 430 children and includes a Resource Base with 11 children.
Greentrees prides itself on being a friendly, diverse school, with an energetic and creative staff team. The school is committed to providing the best primary education for all its pupils and is proud of the vibrant and exciting school environment it creates. Pupil’s achievements are recognised and celebrated, with the aim of developing a love of learning and building self-esteem, confidence and independence. The school has fantastic outdoor facilities, which are used to provide outdoor learning experiences. There are high expectations of all children in their learning and the school promotes and achieves high standards of behaviour.

• Have a proven track record at senior leadership level of raising pupil standards; and be able to demonstrate this success at interview.
• Be an outstanding leader with drive, energy and ambition, inspiring children and staff to strive for continuous improvement and outstanding outcomes for all.
• Be able to recognise the school’s individual strengths and build upon its achievements and successes.
• Be able to develop quickly as a credible leader and have the ability to foster professional, influential relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Be able to demonstrate that you have worked collaboratively and are committed to work in partnership with fellow Heads in our other Trust schools.
The Headteacher will perform the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead and will therefore be responsible for Safeguarding duties across the school, including training, attending meetings, ensuring adherence to policies and providing support.
