About the Role

The Collective Community Trust is a newly formed Trust responsible for six (soon to be seven) primary schools. As a Trust we are committed to providing high quality support services to support all of our schools within the Trust.

An exciting opportunity for an inspirational Headteacher post has arisen at Heaton Park Primary and Nursery School. We are looking for an enthusiastic, aspirational, motivated and dedicated individual to join our caring, committed team of professionals.

Heaton Park is a vibrant, popular, inclusive and diverse school which is proud of its wonderful children, positive relationships with parents and outdoor learning facilities.

The school was judged Good by Ofsted in November 2022.

You will:

  • be a strong, experienced leader;
  • understand children and know how to encourage a love of learning;
  • have an uncompromising commitment to high expectations for all pupils, so that they can all achieve their full potential;
  • understand the challenges and joys of leading an urban, inclusive, multicultural school;
  • have excellent communication skills and can lead the whole school community with commitment and enthusiasm;
  • have a sound vision for continuous improvement which can build on Heaton Park’s strengths and take Heaton Park into the next stage of its development;
  • have excellent and extensive teaching experience in the primary sector;
  • have experience of building respectful working relationships with all staff, with care for their wellbeing;
  • have proven organisational skills and know how to manage a budget, including making difficult decisions to balance it.
