JOB SUMMARY

Be the best you can be at Hilltop Primary Academy.

Do you have the skills and ambition to rise to a challenge?

Are you someone who has high expectations and a desire to improve the life chances of
primary school pupils?

We welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a flexible basis.

Hilltop Primary Academy is a three-form primary school in Crawley and is one of six primaries within the Central region of The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT). Hilltop is a ‘good’ school which has developed its curriculum and improved since its last Ofsted. We are currently seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Headteacher who will build on the school’s existing strengths, to lead, motivate, develop, and inspire a school team that is passionately committed to giving pupils a wide range of real-life and enriching experiences.

Our academies are pivotal in ensuring our children get the best start in life, no matter what their background. As part of the TKAT network, we are committed to making sure that every child has access to an excellent education and real choices in life.

For this role, you will have demonstrable school leadership and management skills and experience, a commitment to professional development, and the personal qualities to build strong relationships with all stakeholders including parents, governors, and colleagues at all levels.

The Headteacher will be responsible for the leadership, organisation, management and
control of the School whilst working in partnership with key providers. You will be expected to promote and safeguard the welfare of the pupils for whom the School and governing body are responsible and those with whom they come into contact; to ensure a high-quality education for pupils and high standards of achievement. Headteachers are required to carry out the duties set out in Part 9 of the School Teacher’s Pay and Conditions Document.
