What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a warm, caring and committed headteacher for our primary school in Hutton Rudby. Our school is single form entry situated in a picturesque village near Yarm on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.
The role is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational headteacher with a clear vision to lead our school into the future as we consult to join a local federation. The position will give you the opportunity to significantly influence the pupils’ educational outcomes whilst leading a dynamic staffing team. We welcome applications from existing headteachers or experienced senior leaders, to lead us strategically through a key period of change alongside the Executive Headteacher as we seek to federate. You will inherit a school whose vision, values and curriculum are centred around developing healthy, happy, resilient, and inquisitive children with thriving cultural and charitable mindsets.
About You:
We are looking for a headteacher who has strong leadership skills, who can lead by example and work closely with our staff, parents/carers, children and the wider community to ensure our children achieve their true potential. You will join a school which has a strong community ethos and colleagues who are proud to work for a school which puts the whole child and parental engagement at its very heart.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- A track record of exceptional communication skills to develop strong parental and community relationships and links.
- Strategic leadership to help us integrate with the federation.
- Expertise in developing staff and curriculum to ensure outstanding education outcomes.
- A robust understanding of school financial and operational management.
- The key competencies we have identified on our person specification.
