What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic Headteacher to lead King’s Academy Northern Parade in Portsmouth as they continue on their journey in providing the best possible education for every child. With aims to equip and nurture pupils to develop their resilience and become creative and independent thinkers, colleagues are working together to deliver the academy improvement plan to ensure a high-quality learning environment.

Our new Headteacher will demonstrate leadership in all aspects of school life and stimulate positive models of enquiry, reflection, challenge and innovation. To be successful in this role you will share our vision and have the ability to manage performance effectively in order to continue improvement with positivity, resilience and drive. This means we are looking for a candidate that can inspire, motivate and grow their teams towards educational excellence whilst maintaining a culture of openness where all voices within the community are heard and valued.

Responsibilities/Duties/Activities
Leadership & Culture
Provide and develop a culture of leadership that will inspire, motivate and develop pupils, colleagues and volunteers.
Developing and communicating the strategic direction and school improvement plan which harness the identity of King’s Academy Northern Parade and the vision of King’s Group Academies (KGA).
Managing and facilitating the Senior Leadership Team’s (SLT) to deliver effectively through a collaborative/team working culture
Ensuring a rounded approach to positive behaviour and attendance in all areas of the academy, fostering high standards and inclusion.
Creating a learning culture and pastoral care system with high social, emotional, moral and spiritual aspirations for all pupils, where each pupil attends fully and experiences a positive, enriching school life and achievesacademic development.
Role modelling and ensuring high quality continued professional development for all colleagues that underpin academy performance, pupil achievement and the wider Trust success.
Participating fully in academy life, being visible at events such as Parents Evening, Information Evening, Awards Evening, Academy Productions, etc.
Ensuring that all stakeholders are regularly engaged, given voice and informed on academy progress
Promoting a culture of innovation which reflects a progressive approach to education and embraces change and continual improvement
Ensuring the ongoing developmentof a workplace culture that promotes equality, equity, diversity and inclusivity, where colleagues and pupils flourish
