Headteacher job summary

The Lime Trust is looking for an experienced, passionate and innovative Headteacher to join their leadership team. The Lime Trust consists of 8 schools, 4 Special and 4 Primary in Cambridgeshire and North East London.

This post is to work in one of our Special Schools for learners aged 2-19, within our London hub which covers the London Borough of Havering and the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

They are expected to set standards and expectations for high standards of teaching and learning to ensure our pupils are given the opportunity to reach their full potential in all aspects of their personal and academic development.

We are looking for a Headteacher who can demonstrate:

• The ability to lead confidentially, act on their own initiative and drive the school forward
• Experience of leading rapid change to improve standards and outcomes for pupils
• Experience of managing a large team of staff and being able to hold them to account
• Excellent leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills
• A clear understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and a wide knowledge and experience of working with children with a range of complex needs
• A commitment to ensuring all pupils achieve their full potential
• High expectations of themself and others

You will be part the Headteacher leadership team across the Trust and work under the direction of the Director of Education.
