The Truro and Penwith Academy Trust is a multi academy trust currently operating across Cornwall with ambitions to continue to grow. Truro and Penwith Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a dynamic and committed Headteacher with senior leadership experience who will share their vision and values to lead this vibrant school from September 2024. What the school offers its staff
Our School is located in the small Cornish town of Liskeard, at the mid point between Plymouth and Bodmin in central Cornwall. The school caters for children between the ages of 4 - 11. We offer wrap around provision from 7.30am to 6pm, with an extensive range of after school clubs. The school day currently runs to 3.40pm. At the end of Year 6 many of our pupils transfer to Liskeard School, while others join Plymouth or Looe, some even further afield. Over the last 10 years Liskeard Hillfort has increased in size, we are a two form entry school. Here at Liskeard we have strong links with the community and have a dedicated and passionate PTA called `Friends Of Liskeard Hillfort School`. In 2019 we joined with the highly successful Truro & Penwith Academy Trust who are reponsible for the governance of the school, with an effective Local Governing Board in place too.
