  • Be able to develop and empower all who work within the school and embrace the many opportunities to work with the wider DDAT family.

  • Be a strong and inspiring leader who will drive school improvement and pursue the highest academic standards for all its pupils.
  • Ensure all children are offered equal access to the curriculum and all aspects of school life; where individual differences are appreciated, celebrated, understood, and accepted.
  • Have a passion for inclusion and enrichment, working closely with families and the local community to ensure each child can flourish.
  • Be integral in driving and sustaining a broad and ambitious curriculum for all pupils from nursery up to Year 6, working closely with Leaders from EYFS, KS1 and KS2 to ensure pupils flourish and every child is able to be the best person that they can possibly be.

The Governors of Loscoe Church of England Primary School & Nursery are looking to appoint an inspirational, forward-thinking headteacher to lead our supportive and nurturing Primary School.

Situated in the heart of the Loscoe community, not far from the City of Derby, the school is a 1 form entry primary school with Nursery provision.

Loscoe Primary School & Nursery is a Church of England school and proud member of Derby Diocesan Academy Trust (www.ddat.org.uk) and enjoys positive relationships with the team of professionals providing effective support in school improvement and operations.

Loscoe Primary and Nursery School believes that children are at the heart of all our work, we aspire for every child to know they can each make a difference and that they are a part of a larger family and community. The school provides rich and enjoyable learning experiences for every pupil and aims for each child to be the best person that they can possibly be. The school vision “we may be small but together we can make a big difference” is lived out daily by Leaders, staff and children.
