What skills and experience we're looking for
In November 2022 Marhamchurch C of E Academy transferred into our School Trust. The village of Marhamchurch is located just outside of Bude in North Cornwall, just a 30-minute drive from Launceston. The school joined the Trust without a Headteacher, so we are seeking to appoint a non-teaching Headteacher.
The school is an important part of the local community, and the children, parents and community members would love to see this relationship continue to flourish. We are seeking someone who will drive our mission and beliefs so that every child has the right to live life to the full. Our School Trust is committed to improving educational outcomes for the most disadvantaged children, ensuring that every child experiences an excellent curriculum that is distinctive to their community.
Marhamchurch is a church school and the new Headteacher must be able to uphold and support the Christian character of the school. They will ensure that they embed the Christian vision and values into the educational offer to our children.
The school has an improvement journey to undertake, and we are a seeking a Headteacher who can provide the community, children and staff with a great school and a great place to work!
What the school offers its staff
As well as providing the very best education for the children, you will be part of a wider team of Headteachers who develop practice, share expertise, and innovate for the benefit of all children and colleagues within the Trust.
We are proud that we are a single organisation where professional development and growth is supported and celebrated. We are an organisation who want you to feel professionally nourished and one who supports wellbeing through our offer to you.
We clear the pathway for Headteachers to focus on the main thing, teaching and learning, through providing a fully centralised business support service which includes finance, HR, Estates, IT etc. We want you to be able to improve education.
We want to support you in deciding if we are a School Trust that you would like to join. We strongly recommend that you arrange a visit to the school and a virtual call with our Trust Lead so that you can better understand if we are an organisation which excites you and can support you to flourish.
Commitment to safeguarding
Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.
Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.
